    I will be participating in the Montana Clay Tour, I will be at Free Ceramics with a number of other potters as well as the Frees'. The converted a church into their studios, it is a beautiful building. Come on out and check out the potters of Montana, showing in Helena! July 27 and 28, 2019. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Randi O'Brien curated a show in Bozeman at the University, I took a covered jar out of the anagama kiln at the beginning of Nov. 2018, sent it to the show (didn't take any pictures), and found out it sold, so awesome, but I have no picture to show.

    I participated in this invitational show at the Clay Studio of Missoula. The Pattee Canyon Ladies create a two-dimensional drawing/painting of each teapot, then both are on display at a show at the Clay Studio of Missoula, opening reception is November 2, 2018, please come if you can!

    This is the second year of this tour, formerly the East Valley Pottery Tour. This is a studio tour of potteries in the Flathead Valley. It is an opportunity to check out potteries in the Flathead, come out and see where the work is made and each individual artist's unique studio. We will be open both Saturday and Sunday, and all are invited! May 19th and 20th, from 10 to 4!

    A group of Montana potters, calling themselves Montana Clay, of which I am a member, are sending a show to the National Conference for the Education of Ceramic Art, held in Kansas City, MO this year. This show also traveled to The Clay Studio of Missoula, Montana and was exhibited there also.

    Sean Tribble, Bob Korn, Mimi Werner and I are demonstrating Wheel Throwing, Raku firing, and Cane Handle Making in front of Brookies Cookies all afternoon. There are other festivities also, including music and a Cowboy Fondue Dinner.

    I will once again be participating in the Member's Salon at the Hockaday Museum in Kalispell, the show will be up from November 8 thru December 28. The Hockaday also carries Sherry Wells Pottery in the gift shop in the museum, check it out!

  • Hockaday Tour of Artists' Studios 2012

    Once again I will be participating in the Tour of Studios. This is the third year the Hockaday has put this on. It is a wonderful opportunity for folks to visit artists in their studios, you can see where the art is made and while there watch a demo of the artist creating their work. This year there will be 18 participating artists. Please come by and check out my studio!

    Participant in the 2011 Hockaday Tour of Studios, held September 24 & 25, 2011. The Hockaday Museum is sponsoring a tour of local artists studios. Seventeen artists are participating, opening their studios, inviting the public during this weekend. Maps are available at the Hockaday Museum and at participating studios listing the participating artists with directions to their studios. Please come out, meet Sherry and see where the pottery is made.

    Sherry's "Crusty Jar" was accepted to participate in this National juried show, "Put a Lid On It". The jar can be viewed in the Gallery section of this website. The show was held at Mudfire Gallery in Decatur, Georgia from May 12 thru June 6, 2007 which included over 60 international artists contributing a variety of lidded vessels.     Sherry received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, an extended major in Art and a minor in Reading. She is a certified teacher in Montana with K-12 endorsements in Art and Reading
