This plate was out of an 2007 Anagama wood firing, it was fired upside down, being the bottom in a stack of 4, it came out the most distorted due to the weigh of the other plates, the shell imprints are from the shells it rested on. There are also halos on all these plates which I can not explain and had no hand in. The rest of the coloration came from the flame of the firing.
